They’re also offering FREE marketing advice, information about how to finance your entrepreneur idea and other great resources from your IPhone all FREE!.
The Small Business Administration has released an iPhone app that puts invaluable resources at the user’s fingertips. NY1’s Tara Lynn Wagner filed the following report.

Those with a great idea for a new business but no idea where to start can breathe easy.

“There’s an app for that,” says Pravina Raghavan, district director of the New York District Office for the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The Small Business Administration has released an iPhone app that puts an array of resources directly at a user’s fingertips. For instance, it acts as a sort of GPS, pointing users to where they can find free, local help.

“It will put you into connection with our small business development center, score and our women’s business centers, which are just resource partners to allow you to actually evolve your ideas,” says Raghavan. “So you could have a conversation saying, ‘Hey, I want to start a new barbershop,’ to ‘I’ve got a business plan and I need help financing,’ or, ‘I really want to know how to use social media.’”

Speaking of which, the app also allows users to follow the SBA on Twitter and access some of the agency’s popular training tools, like the webinars they’ve posted on YouTube.

“Videos that will teach you things like how to market your business, how to prepare a business plan and also have multiple discussions on what is important for a business community,” says Jorge Silva-Puras, regional administrator for the SBA.

Of course, the biggest issue when it comes to opening a business is cash, and while the app can’t actually give out a loan, it can give a sense of how much capital the business will need through its most important tool: the start-up cost calculator.

Do I have a budget for paying insurance?’”

“It will ask you how many assets you have, how many liabilities, and then give you at least a starting idea of ‘hey, it might cost me $500,000 to start this business, do I have the money? If I don’t have the money can I get the money?’ And then get you to start talking to resources like our small business development centers,” says Raghavan.

The app is available for iPhones only and is free at the App Store.
